It seems like only yesterday I first laid my eyes on you.
It was love at first sight, pure and simple, sweet and true.
Our eyes meet and our hearts became one, forever.

It seems like only yesterday you made me laugh with your silly puppy antics.
And my heart soared with the sheer joy of loving you.
Your sweet spirit and joyful, loving nature made this home, and me, complete.

It seems like only yesterday I caressed you in my hands.
I can still feel the silkiness of your fur and the warmth of your body.
And I can still see the twinkle in your eyes and that forever smile on your face.

And it seems like only yesterday I held you in my arms for the very last time,
Told you that I loved you and kissed you goodbye, my friend, my love.

It seems like only yesterday.
