"an
exceptional beauty!"
|
Phoebe was quite
beautiful! Her veterinarian (DOGtor!) even told us that
she was "an exceptional beauty"!
Phoebe had her
first seizure about a week after we gave her her first dose
of Advantage. The vet had heard that this could happen in
geriatric cats, but never 5-year old Pugs, so she was treated
as epileptic. Phoebe died a year and a half later. We had
an autopsy done, andwe were told that Phoebe actually had
PDE.
It seemed to just
be a weird coincidence that the first symptom appeared right
after using Advantage.
Needless to say, we were a bit unsure about using that product
again, even though we know that she died from something
unrelated. We hadn't heard of any other instances where
these flea prevention products were harmful, so I think
we figured we were over-reacting. Even so, we never put
Advantage on Phoebe again and swore we would never use it
on any other Pugs.
